Feb 4, 2016 - 8:18 AM EST The sexual assault trial of former CBC Radio host Jian Ghomeshi will resume in Toronto today, with Crown attorney Michael Callaghan calling his second witness to testify. Ghomeshi, 48, has pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual assault and one of choking, with the charges involving three women. He is being tried by judge alone in the Ontario Court of Justice.The trial was delayed for a day after defence lawyer Marie Henein finished cross-examining the first complainant, notably producing two "flirtatious" emails the woman sent to Ghomeshi a year after the alleged assault. The witness had denied having contact with the former broadcaster when questioned by the Crown.After cross-examination, Callaghan said he needed to shuffle his witnesses and asked for a break Wednesday to ensure the right person would be available to testify.
