John's Weather Journal August 8th
I’m watching a few afternoon showers for the Red River Valley. It’s a line west of the region as of noon, gently drifting east. The main event is tonight.Â
Expect showers or thunderstorms late evening and overnight. The rain will be a little spotty but we’ll take the moisture any way we can get it at this point.Â
Here's a look at the RPM Model on Futurecast and the rain expected overnight into Wednesday morning.Â

Wednesday could be fairly wet in the morning south of the lakes, tapering to showers in the afternoon, clearing in the evening. Wednesday is also the coolest day of the week.Â
After Wednesday, high pressure settles in for the rest of the week and weekend. It’ll be back to dry, sunny conditions with seasonal temps through into next week.Â
