Police arrest man in death of 19 year old
Dominique McCann was rushed to hospital in critical condition in early December. An autopsy showed she died from trauma and internal bleeding. CBC has learned her long-time boyfriend is facing charges in connection to her death.
The Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench did NOT grant a temporary injunction to suspend the new wheat board law.
However, both sides -- the Crown and the former farmer-elected directors of the wheat board -- will be back in court in January asking for another injuction so they can fight the constitutionality of the law.
Legislation to strip the Canadian Wheat Board's control of the grain market received royal assent yesteday.
That means Canadian farmers can now choose how they will sell their product.
Agriculture minister Gerry Ritz says allowing farmers to market themselves will increase investment and sales.

It happened just before 1:30 am near Burrow and Andrews street. A 16-year old male suffered stab wounds. He has since been treated and released. No word on any suspects. Details at 5:25.
