Speaking of the north while the inuit people stare and have 3rd world living conditions is deplorable and a slap in the face of the truth and honesty this country used to uphold

If Canadian citizenship is to be taken back from a terrorist, it should apply to all, not just people with a second citizenship.

Harper defends tough stand with Putin and Russia. Top Russian politicians recently called Canada
"the most anti-Russian country in the world". In this joust on stage Harper clearly feels in his comfort zone and is glad to show his muscle. -

Mulcair: Your closer on that project was to tell Obama if don't get it with this administration you will get it with the next administration. It doesn't make sense for us to export 40-thousand jobs to the US.

Why there is no discussion of Canada's international obligations like global warming?

The format of this debate should've been adopted a lot sooner. Nice to hear everyone's views without having a shouting match.

Harper: the industry and labour in both the US and in Canada are in support of this. They both say the NDP position is wrong. Selling our products abroad is good for Canada.

Mulcair: that is old..Rip and Ship our resources is old policy. We don't have a complete environmental assessment process in Canada. Not a single kilometre of pipeline has been built under his watch. Mr Harper has only himself to blame.

Trudeau: Our relationship with the US is the most important one we have. Harper went to Washington and harangued the president and that is all they wanted to talk about. It has gotten in the way of other issues. Canadians are worried about their jobs because Harper doesn't like Obama
margo mcdiarmidat 9:15 PM

Harper: I have a good relationship with the US president ( audience laughs) Can you imagine after this election we have a PM who says we are pulling out of the international coalition? That will damage our relationship with the President
-
Harper: if you really want to poison the rel’ship w/ the US, pull out of Syrian mission and tell Obama he’s continuing policies of GW Bush.Retweeted by RosieBarton9:16 PM - 28 Sep 2015

In the depths of a Foreign Policy debate one start to wonder---how each would look abroad representing Canada. Taking the salute, meeting foreign leaders, posing with the Group of 22, speaking at the UN.
How does each fit that picture? that a question Canadians will be asking at some point. -
Mulcair: Canada can get back to be a voice of reason. We want to fight the flow of fighters and funding. But we need to fight harder for peace not for war and that is what I would do as PM
-
Harper: This government has been unequivocal on Israel.. we are not going to single out the Jewish state for attack and we recognize its right to be a Jewish state and defend itself.
-
Trudeau: Harper has made support of Israel a domestic political football. We all support Israel. #elxn429:19 PM - 28 Sep 2015
