This will be Rain event for NFLD. Southerly winds mean rising temps tonight. Tuesday will be wet but warm. Temps into the high teens! #nlwxby Ryan Snoddon via twitter 10/15/2012 11:45:06 AM

This big Fall storm system will be 'holding hands' with #Rafael & will be a key factor in the Tropical Storm's eventual track. #nlwxby Ryan Snoddon via twitter 10/15/2012 11:46:05 AM

Forecast models continue to trend East with track of #Rafael. The latest model runs pass the Storm Southeast of the Island and over the Grand Banks Wed/Thurs. It's still early, so can't rule out a track further Northwest. At very least, Eastern Nfld could see precip from the leading edge of #Rafael on Wednesday. Stay tuned. twitpic.com

High pressure holds for Saturday across Nfld. Increasing afternoon clouds in Central/West. Showers push into Labrador with mild temps for all. Even warmer temps for Sunday across Newfoundland, (mid-teens) but a wet one too. Periods of rain move from West to East. More clouds & showers in Labrador. Behind this big slow moving system, looks like another cold shot is on the way for NL mid-late next week. More on that, tonight on Here & Now!

Blocking High will be key factor in #Sandy's track early next week. A Northeast US hit looking more likely. #nlwx twitpic.com

Still a few outliers, including latest Canadian model, which brings #Sandy as far as Southern Nova Scotia. Blocking High all but eliminates #Sandy threat for NFLD, & directs it toward the Northeast US. twitpic.com
