*Crumbling HoC* was one of the headline boxes at beginning of this chat. This morning our CBC radio station used the headline *HoC in decay*. Never a more true statement issued, though I believe they were referring to the windows in the building.

@kady - with MPs in the House of Commons apparently in danger of falling masonry, could you see HOC in a different venue whilst it is being repaired? Or would the House just not sit during reno? Surely MPs and visitors cannot be put in danger indefinitely yet nation's business still has to carry on?

Shelley C - Before I cede the floor to Dean, it's worth pointing out that MPs will have to temporarily relocate when Centre Block is closed down for renovations -- although that date keeps being pushed further and further in the future.

A lot of people have picked up on the metaphor of the Commons in decay - truth is, the building has been neglected for years, and we`re paying the price now.

"Failed to work with other parties" Kady??? It was Baird who invited Dewar and Garneau to view the atrocities... Then they play politics and clearly feed the media talking points that they spread as Gospel. Was that not Consultaion Kady?

They often mentioned " From my constituents " etc....I wondered who are their "constituents"??? The great thing is that majority of Canadian still determined to keep the Canadian Values by stand by with our allies around the world to keep this planet worth it to live on....I am glad the vote is prevailed our value NOT on their "constituents".idea???

It seems counter-productive to me to cut red tape on gun ownership in Canada while at the same time RCMP and security personnel here are trying to curb growth of homegrown terrorists.

"Law-abiding" seems to suppose that Harper and his gang of Cons have superhuman powers to tell in advance who will use guns unlawfully. Well, even cops have been found to shoot first, think later and in the wake of shooting deaths of youths in Toronto I have NO appetite for cutting red tape on gun ownership in Canada. I supported the High River 'gun grab' by RCMP. Those guns shd NOT have been left out for looters in that manner.
