Thanks Lakshine. I really feel like I'm closing a big book today. It's hard to believe everything Ford put this city through during his four years in office. It's a time I will always remember. And I suspect this city won't soon forget.
-
I am not sure what positive impact he left on Toronto. Did he stop the gravy train or even slowed it down? Thanks
-
Thank you to everyone who took part with comments and questions. Thanks, Jamie for your reflection and insight.Do you have any final remarks before we wrap up this afternoon?
-
Yes he was not boring. That's for sure. I think he will be remembered far beyond the scandal. I think his penny pinching ways will cast a shadow over City Hall for years to come.

@CBCToronto I was always anxious when Mr. Ford was around, things calmed down while he was getting well. I won't miss the stress.by kayaking_canada via twitter 3/23/2016 4:14:22 PM

I really think Rob Ford's legacy will be a complicated one. There is no way his misdeeds can or should be glossed over. They are well documented. As a politician I think he has two legacies: i think, for better or worse, people are more aware of City Hall and the role it plays in their lives. I think the way money is spent at City Hall if forever changed. He will be remembered, that is for sure.

@CBCToronto @StrashinCBC Will he be remembered for the great things he did as Mayor, or for his personal demons?by Mootz1977 via twitter 3/23/2016 4:10:38 PM

Thank you, Jamie. I'm going to pull in a question from Twitter.

I took a moment last night to look back at all of the tape we shot during Ford's four years as mayor. It's amazing how many events were packed into such a short period of time. I have to admit, there were so many scandal moments, I had forgotten some.
-
People love an underdog. And Rob Ford, the anti-politician, the guy that many thought was too stupid to be mayor, was able to fill that role.
